Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Dent will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 12noon at New Dimensions Worship Center, Apostle Gloria Sylvester will officiate, Rev. Patrick Freeman will deliver the eulogy, burial will follow in West Highland Memorial Gardens. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the church. Wills’ Funeral Service of Northport in charge of all arrangements.
Public viewing: Friday 12noon-5pm
Flower times: Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-10am

The book of Revelation describes a “new heaven and a new earth” where God will dwell with his people. In this new creation, “death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away”.RIP, Mrs Dent, and my condolences to the family
Ms. Dent was my grandparent helper in my classroom when I taught preschool children at Hargrove Head Start. She was such a kind and caring presence, always ready to assist me and the children. She spoke often of her love for her family and shared the funniest stories about them. I am truly grateful for the time I had with her, and I send my deepest condolences to her family during this difficult time.
