So sorry to hear about Ms. Mattie. My relationship with her extended over a number of years. During the time Shirley and I was in school and I spent the night at her home. She will be missed!

With heartfelt deepest condolences and sympathy to the Davis, Clark ‘s and many others in your time of sorrow. I have known Mrs.Davis for as long as Ican say, Her children and I grew up together and attended the Elizabeth Baptist Church , 20th Street School then on to Druid High .. Mrs. Davis was a great inspirator who often had something to say with that beautiful smile. When peace like a river attendeth my way . when sorrow like sea billows roll . What ever my lot, Thou has taught me to say . It is well, It is well witrh my soul . One of her favorite song she would sing , ” By the Grace of God that’s why I’m Saved .

I recall Ms. Davis serving on the usher board with a unique display of seriousness. She was truly an example of a good and faithful servant. She always returned conversations with a gentle spirit and a loving smile. Thank you for your love and dedication.
