Graveside services for Mr. Melvin D. Butler better known to friends as “Big” will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 12 noon at Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery in Elrod, AL. , Rev. Phillip Sterling and Rev. Fredrick Sealey will officiate. Wills’ Funeral Service of Northport in charge of all arrangements.
Public viewing: Friday 2pm-5pm
Flower times: Friday 9am-5pm
Saturday 9am-10:30am
A wonderful man taken way too soon. Melvin was a kind man who loved his family. My heart is breaking as my sister in Christ and Melvin’s mother lays another child to rest. May God grant Sarah and all Melvin’s friends and family peace and understanding during this extremely difficult time. Please contact me if I can help anyone of you in any way.

March is my heart breaks for you being taken so soon. I just met you in 2005 found out you are my cousin and we really didn’t have enough time to get to really get to know one another. You were the sweetest man I know and you loved your family. God needed you more so I will remember you always in my heart. Love you until we meet again
