Farewell dear Baumholder Buc. You will be missed. Prayers and hugs to your family.

It was my privilege to, not only know Tommie Hopkins, but to be his teammate and classmate in BAUMHOLDER, Germany, from 1970-73. Tommie was family then and he will always be family!!! The world has lost an incredibly loved man, a 1973 graduate of THE BAUMHOLDER AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL, HOME OF THE BATTLING BUCCANEERS, my brother, my friend. Rest In Peace, Tommie. I know that you’re dapping with our BUCCANEER brothers and sisters in Heaven!!! Peace ✌

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Tommie. Tommie and I both attended Baumholder American High School together in the early 1970’s. While we were not close, we did know each other. I was hoping to get to see Tommie again now that so many of us Bucs have reconnected. The time that we all spent in Baumholder was truly an amazing time, many of us wished that time would never end. May Tommie rest in peace.

Tommie was a very sweet man I met him at one of our 70a Decade Baumholder Bucs Reunions. Heaven has gained another Angel. May he rest in eternal peace with our Lord.

Farewell Tommie, or Hop as he was called at Baumholder American High School. Hop was one of the “Fellas”. He was a member of the Silver Division Football Championship team our senior year. He was named All Conference Defensive End and also Second Team All Europe Defensive End. You will be missed brother!
