With a broken heart to hear the news of the passing of Ms. wells. My prayers go out to her daughter’s. I have known her for many years. I was her babysitter in 1967. Never forgot Ms. Wells and her piano playing what wonderful music she played.

Cassaundra Grice

I pray her daughters feel God’s comfort and peace during this difficult time. Ms Wells was a wonderful person. She answered God’s call to work on this earth and now she’s answered His call to rest.

I’m so sorry to hear of Ms. Wells death. She was my elementary school piano teacher. A very sweet person and was about her business when it came to teaching the piano. My sympathy goes out to her family.

Deepest condolences. Ms. Wells was my choral music teacher. She was a demanding teacher who refused to allow her students to perform below the mark of EXCELLENCE! Her choral music students competed and performed with CLASS & PRIDE! May we, her students, honor her memory daily by always displaying the Excellence, Class, and Pride in all that we do, as she taught us! With deep love and respect to our teacher, Ms. Wells. Your legacy lives on and speaks for you.✝️

Your dear mother was not only a gifted pianist and teacher of music; she was a teacher about life. The melodies of her friendship enriched the lives of three generations of my family. How we will miss her! Rest in peace beloved Maestra. Brava! Brava!

Ms. Janet

Mrs. White -The short time that I have known your mother and when I was around her, she had that ora about herself as though it was like an invisible halo and glow around her. I know that you developed your demeanor from her because you possess the same behavior as she did and I haven’t met Carmelita but I can almost bet that she is the same way. You can’t find better people than you all because you all are one of a kind and that’s hard to find! It was a privilege to have met her and I am so very sorry for your loss, but we all know where your mother is and who she is with so let that be your comfort. You will always be in my heart and prayers.

Zelpha was my first piano teacher. I was only 4 years old back then. I always admired how she could touch those piano keys, make such beautiful music, and make it all look so easy. She is one of the reasons why I chose a career in Music Education. I was saddened to learn of her passing, and my heart goes out to you, Arngenel and Carmelita. Zelpha’s legacy will live on in our hearts forever. Peace, Love, and Light.

I have taken care of Ms.Wells for the last past couple of weeks. Since I have known her she has been the sweetest person ever and so is her daughter Ms.Arngenel. This literally broke my heart when I heard the news. God please give this family strength & guidance right now as they get through this tough time. Rest In Paradise

Nan Saville-Fifer

I cannot think or speak of of you in the past tense because from the moment I walked into your home and met you, over sixty three years ago, intoxicated by the fragrance and beauty of Mrs. Storey’s deep red roses lining the path to your front door, I have carried you in my heart (where my parents also live and whose love for you I will always share). You became my first piano teacher, and now whenever I confront doubt or fear, I can feel your hand on my back and hear your voice saying: straighten up, hold your head up and think about what you are going; don’t watch the keys. I love you, always. Hug my Mama and Daddy when you find one another. I will be along in just a while.

Eunetha Wells Gowdy

To the daughters of Mrs. Wells, thank you so much for sharing your mother’s celebration with me and the world! It was truly a beautiful celebration! Please know that I hold you near in prayer; and I pray God will comfort you in times like these.

Debra Willis-Petty

So Sorry To Hear Of Ms Zelpha’s Passing My Sincerest Condolences

Rick Jobe

I was Zelpha’s guitar player at Joe Namath’s in the mid 70s. She was a gracious employer and a patient teacher for a young man just learning what it meant to be a real pro musician. She was the epitome of talent, selflessness and grace and I will never forget her for it.
