Ms. Duncan was the first person in Williams Hall upon enrolling Fall 1989. She was nice to me and took me under her wing. She was the protector of all us girls in that dorm and on campus. God Bless her and her family .

To Glenda and family, We are all praying for you and your family at this most difficult time. Miss Duncan was a very nice lady, and was full of the love of god.She would help whom ever she could when ever she was given the opportunity to do so. She is really is going to be missed by many.I met her back in the 80s when I worked at stillman college she open up her doors to me to stop by and visit her at any time , and I did just that and enjoyed talking and laughing with her. Glenda I realize this is difficult for you and your family but remember god said in his word to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord.

Glenda, and James; My heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with your families as you mourn the transition of your loved one. Pearlie was such as inspiration to so many young women that passed her way. She loved GOD and it showed in her everyday life as she ministered thru love to all the young ladies touched by her at Stillman. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. This is that blessed hope of those who fall asleep in Jesus. Prayers will continue to be with you in the days and weeks to come.

A very loving, kind, and gentle soul was Ms. Duncan. May she Rest In Peace, until that great getting up morning, when the dead in Christ shall rise first, and those who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and shall we forever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Amen.

Gone too soon. To the Duncan family, may God give you strength and peace during this time. Pearlie was my classmate. I am sorry to hear that she is temporarily separated from her family. But my heart rejoice when I imagine her in the present of Jesus. She always had such a pretty smile, only love within can make you display such kindness. Until we meet again my Sorority Sister

Words can not begin to express the sadness I am feeling. Ms. Pearlie cared for all the students at Stillman, both the men and women. Though she was kind and loving, she was also stern providing the right balance only demanding the best of each of us. I am better because she lived and touched my life beyond measure. Blessings to her family during this your season of bereavement. Know your sadness is shared my many. Rest easy Ms. Pearlie... we'll see you again! Kevin C. Norton, Class of 1991

If you were female and you went to Stillman College as a freshman then you should remember Ms. Duncan. Short in statute but her words spoke volumes. Rest in peace! Freshman Class of 1991

I will miss my cousin and her beautiful smile. She and I was the same age and growing up we always laughed, played and had so much fun together that we even went to the same college. Pearlie was name after my beloved mother as well. To: Glinda and James I know this is difficult because y'all grew up to be very close siblings. Later, in life you'll learned to accept your other siblings as apart of your lives; my mom will be so proud of that. There's nothing like sisters and brothers to love. We must comfort each other today, tomorrow and in the future and May God's Grace and Mercy be with us all forever.
