I attended the funeral yesterday on 10/25/2014 and I must say this.. it was the best homegoing I ever attended .yes it was sad to see my best friend laying there. But I was also happy that she don't have to suffer no more or be mistreated by someone that only cared for himself. We were very close she use to come spend the night with me before she died and we would have so much fun...she kept me laughing..and when she got real sick she always would call me and talk to me..she called me a week before she died and told me that she wasn't feeling good.im glad that I got to talk to her then.I will ALWAYS miss her and LOVE her she was like a mom to me.

I don't know where to start Sophie, Mama, Doc and now you. So many fond memories on Jemison Avenue. I left for the navy and I always came back to see everybody. We all went to school together at TJHS. I miss those days and all the fun we had, I last saw you at my cousin's house, my friend Linberg was there (..he passed this year too.)You were in good spirits, laughing etc..and now you're gone way too soon, it just hurts so bad and I will always remember that August day. Your Mom did so much for me when I was in need, I was a part of your family and Ms Bernice would never let me forget her kindness. I will always remember the good times and days we all had. My sister Trudy,my brother Kelvin, Al, Sharon and Janie, my prayer is that you remain strong during this time of sorrow.
